Major Photo Restoration: Restore Extra Long Photo of Airforce Crew with Mildew damage

Several challenges were encountered working with this spectacular 1942 image of proud military personnel. This extra large 8-inch x 40-inch image was permanently attached to a heavy piece of metal. Mildew covered the a portion of the image with some areas so severely damaged, portion of some faces and parts of uniforms were missing. The three separate scans were merged and mildew damage repaired. Missing faces and uniforms were re-created from other information in the photo. Finally, over an hour was required to print the extra large image which was mounted for the client on gator or foam board.
